While I loved this book, I'm torn: It is really well written and full of action and descriptive characters, but there were times that I wanted to smack the author for putting Matthew through everything. Hadn't he been through enough already?! However, it is a sign of a great author when you become so involved in the characters that you cry along with them, and the hardships make the good moments of the book shine so much brighter.

Another awesome book in the Deadman’s Series. I loved this one, I think it’s my favorite, there were a few times when my heart was in my mouth, totally awesome story.
It has sadness, despair, rage and compassion as Matthew Wilcox fights his own personal demons to come back to being the good man that he is.
Highly recommend the whole series.

This is the best of the series. Linell Jeppsen thoroughly develops her character of Matthew Wilcox throughout the series and the reader considers him like a friend. The story starts off with a bang, and the tension and suspense built up during this last volume made it very hard to put the book down. The author wraps the series beautifully, and it is hard to think this is the end. Fans of multiple genres, including historical novels, westerns and mysteries will love this series with its adventure, finely developed characters, and historical perspective.This book definite deserves a 5 star rating
Deadman's Revenge is a rolling action packed adventure that has all of the elements necessary for tale in this genre. The colorful personality of the protagonist and that of the supporting characters gives depth to the action. While Deadman's Revenge can be a stand alone novel the story line should be started with the first book in the series. A western that is top notch reading.
Another brilliant book of the Deadman Series. In this book Marshal Matthew Wilcox sets out on a path of revenge when his wife and much-loved wolf are killed. A worn and tired soul that can't deny emotion. This classic western takes you back into the day with the characters. The author is so seasoned in the language and mannerisms of "cowboy times," it's effortless.
The story has a fast pace and throws a curveball in all the right places.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book just as much as the others. I recommend you give this talented writer a try and let him know what you think. Great Job!
The third and best book of this series, Deadmans Revenge is well worth reading in my opinion. A beautiful western story with brutal twists and turns and strong realistic characters swept me away early on. I was drawn to Mathew in the first book. As his life circumstances unfold in book three, I cried and at times was full of rage and wanted revenge myself . Seldom does a book elicit such raw emotion within me....I hated to say goodbye to Mathew at the end of the book. I give it 5 stars and recommend Deadmans Revenge to all adult readers, you won't be disappointed.
I was lucky enough to read Deadman's Lament some time back. It was a fantastic read, and I gave it a 5 star rating. When I came across Deadman's Fury, I had not forgotten anything about the first book. I started reading it and could not quit until the end. I tried to give it a 5 star and all I liked about it, but something happened on , and only the 5 stars were sent. I looked on the Book sites and found, Deadman's Revenge. These books are wonderful and you get so involved with each character in the stories. They each show how rough life was really like on the Frontier. They are full of good people in hard times, and the wicked of the time. Full of love, sorrow, faith and healing. Meanest people and people full of goodness. Parts are very sad, but that is how life is. Lucky Chance is the 4th in this riveting ongoing story. When I get it read I'm sure my review will be another 5 Star. Marshal Matthew Wilcox will continue to serve the people he loves, and Linell Jeppsen will have created another exciting and wonderful book in the ongoing series.
