This pamphlet shares techniques we used to manage our latchkey dog. As a working couple, leaving everyday for work, we needed to manage feeding, behavior, and entertainment for our dog – all while we were away at work.
Leaving a barking dog behind, as we left for work was not acceptable. We share the methods we used to extinguish barking while when we left, and while we weren’t there. Our dog needed entertainment and challenges, otherwise, everything in the house was at risk as his toy. We discuss what we used to entertain him, and how many senses we challenged, and the results we got. Food and potty also needed to be managed while we were away.
And on occasion, we needed to administer medication, at timed intervals, throughout the day – again – while we were away.

I found this book very helpful for training our furry companions to be well behaved when left home alone. I do not work outside my home but I have had problems when I go shopping, etc., leaving my dog home alone. This book shows me creative ways of keeping a dog occupied and out of trouble and mischief when left home alone. Thank you Ms. Robertson for sharing your experiences with me.
